Malta is a group of islands in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea directly south of Italy and north of Libya. Malta is famous for its rich history and sunny weather. In March I spent one week in a small village in southeastern Greenland. It was one of the most amazing weeks in my life!
Kulusuk is a settlement really at the end of the world, where only 280 people live (half of them are kids). Unemployment rate is around 80%, so people are hunting and fishing to survive. To the next settlement you can get only by helicopter, but around the village there are many breathtaking hiking paths.

Last couple months I spent in the capital of Iceland - Reykjavik. For me Reykjavik is the best city I have ever been to. I experienced there a lot: northern lights, sunrise at 11am, wild nightlife in Reykjavik, volcanic eruption and many more. I hope you will enjoy the new full set from from Reykjavik.

At the beginning of May I visited Amsterdam on my way to Switzerland. I have to say this is one of the greatest small cities in Europe. The capital of the Netherlands has impressive architecture, lovely canals that criss cross the city and very friendly people. Please check out updated full set of pictures from Amsterdam.

Helsinki is a modern situated on the Baltic Sea capital of Finland. City is spread across a number of bays and peninsulas and over a number of islands. The city center has many beautiful parks and neo-classical buildings. Helsinki is low and wide - most buildings have only two or three floors.

Today European countries shut their airspace one after the other as a cloud of volcanic ash wafted over from Iceland and posed a danger to flights. The latest series of eruptions began on March 20 near Eyjafjallajokull glacier in Iceland.
A couple days ago, I visited volcano by airplane and by 4WD car. I encourage you to check out the special gallery from volcanic eruption.

Last summer I spent a couple days in two lithuanian cities: Vilnius and Kaunas. The capital, Vilnius, is a picturesque city on the banks of the rivers Neris and Vilnia. The architecture within the old part of the city is some of Eastern Europeâ€™s finest. There are 65 churches in Vilnius. Kaunas is the second largest city in Lithuania and a former temporary capital. Last summer during my trip to Baltic Countries I also visited capital of Latvia. Riga is more than 800 years old and with a blend of a medieval centre and a modern city. In the new full set from Riga you can admire all major attractions of the city.

Last summer during my trip to Baltic Countries I spent some time in Tallinn. The capital and largest city of Estonia is a historic city dating back to the medieval times. The city's old town has been astonishingly well preserved and was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. In the new full set from Tallinn you can enjoy all major highlight of the city. The next capital I want to present you is Sofia. The capital of Bulgaria founded over 7,000 years ago, is one of the oldest cities in Europe. Sofia's major landmarks include the St George Rotunda, part of a large archeological complex; the Sveta Sofia Basilica which inspired the city's coat of arms; the Alexandar Nevski Cathedral; and the Boyana Church on Sofia's outskirts a fine example of Medieval architecture with unique wall paintings. In October this year I've done the most exciting trip ever. For the first time in my life I was in Asia. During this trip I visited three great cities in China: Beijing, Shanghai and Xian. This time I want to present you my favorite city in Europe: Lisbon. The capital of Portugal is really charming with its narrow streets, seven hills, impressive castle and bright yellow trams. Situated on the north banks of the River Tagus, Lisbon enchants travelers with its white bleached limestone buildings, intimate alleyways, and an easy going charm. On pictures in the new set you can find all Lisbon's attractions: St. George's Castle, Belem Tower, Parque das Nacoes, Santa Justa's Elevator - to name just a couple of them.

Finally I want to present you some pictures from my homeland - Poland. In the new set you can find photos from Warsaw. Completely destroyed by the Nazis during World War II, the city managed to rebuild and became Poland's largest city. Today, almost every building in Warsaw dates to the postwar era - with what little remains of the old structures. On pictures in the new set you can find all Warsaw's attractions like: The Castle Square, The Barbican, The Palace of Culture, The Royal Palace in Wilanow and many more.

This month I want to present you as many as three great European cities: Madrid, Valencia and Barcelona. These three the biggest cities in Spain are famous for cultural heritage, fine museums and it's soccer clubs.

Madrid the capital of Spain has the third-most populous municipality in the European Union. The city is well-known for great museums like Museo del Prado or Reina Sofia, where can be found many of Pablo Picasso's works. The other must-see attractions in Madrid are renowned Palacio Real and Catedral de la Almudena.

Valencia is a charming old city located on the Mediterranean Sea. Valencia has a totally stunning and compact old town centre, packed with gorgeous buildings, historic sights, squares, gardens, museums and charming little streets. The Historic Centre bears the marks of 2000 years, in a spectacular mix of Roman, Muslim and Christian civilizations. Valencia is modern city at the same time: world famous futuristic City of Arts and Sciences is located in Valencia.

Barcelona is the second largest city in Spain and the capital of Catalonia. Barcelona is unequivocally a Mediterranean city, not only because of its geographic location but also and above all because of its history, tradition and cultural influences. I found La Rambla as the most interesting part of the city. It is a tree-lined pedestrian boulevard packed with buskers, living statues, mimes and itinerant salespeople selling everything. Obviously the number one on the list things to see in Barcelona is La Sagrada Familia cathedral, which is life's work of Antoni Gaudi.

I've had really great time visiting these three cities in Spain. I hope you will enjoy the new full set from Spain!

This month I'm starting the new set of pictures from Germany, which will be extended in the future (e.g. currently I'm planning trip to Munich). So let's start with two great cities I've visited last year: Frankfurt am Main and Mainz.

Frankfurt is the financial capital of Europe. It bristles with jagged skyscrapers that rise up from the Rhine–Main basin and alongside a restored Altstadt (Old Town). As a business capital, it attracts thousands of foreign expats and exiles from other German cities who have come here to work. It is home to one of Europe’s largest stock exchanges, the Bundesbank and the European Central Bank.

Mainz is the capital of the German federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate. This is the city with over two thousand years of history. Mainz is located on the river Rhine and has a unique charm and atmosphere. I found it very friendly and compact with vibrant night life. I love Mainz's Old Town with all its narrow streets, which you can find on my pictures.

This time I'm inviting you to the capital of Hungary. Last year I visited Budapest a couple times, always with the same excitement. Situated on both banks of the Danube, Budapest boasts quite a few extraordinary examples of architecture: The Hungarian Parliament, Gellért Thermal Bath, Hungarian National Gallery, The Royal Palace in Buda Castle, House of Terror Museum - to name just a couple of them. Budapest is rich in thermal springs, and therefore the bath culture has been thriving since the Roman times. Worth mention also is that there are nine bridges in Budapest: The Széchenyi Chain Bridge built in 1849 is the first permanent bridge over the Danube between Buda and Pest.

Buda, which is mostly residential, comprises one-third of the city's total area, with over 20 hills on the right bank of the Danube. Pest, on the left bank, is almost entirely flat, and has most of the government and commerce and the industry.

Vienna, also described as Europe's cultural capital, is a metropolis with unique charm, vibrancy and flair.
Personally I found Vienna as one of the most interesting cities I've ever been to. Even 4 days in the capital of Austria weren't enough to visit all major attractions. Belvedere Palace, Burgtheater, Hofburg, Karlskirche, Schönbrunn Palace, St. Stephen's Cathedral, Vienna Opera House - to name just a couple of highlights you have to see when you are in Vienna. The next capital I want to present on my website is Bratislava. After Ljubljana and Zagreb it is next city you can explore within one day. But it doesn't mean that the capital of Slovakia is not worth visit. You can have a great time walking on Bratislava Old Town, visiting old churches and museums. The number one tourist attraction is obviously Bratislava Castle. It dominates over the city of Bratislava on a hill overlooking the river Danube. Bratislava is situated on the both banks of the Danube River, which is great opportunity when you want to take a cruise and admire the city from the riverside. But before you visit Bratislava, take your time and check my new full set of pictures from Bratislava!

This month I'm presenting you the capital of Croatia: Zagreb. This really nice city, is often omitted by tourists. It lies on the intersection of important routes between the Adriatic coast and Central Europe. But most travelers prefer to visit the Croatian coast rather then the capital. That's a shame because in Zagreb you can find many worth visit sights like for example St. Stephen's Cathedral, built in 1899, which is the most monumental architectural work in the area southeast of the Alps. The next must-see attraction is the Croatian National Theater, which belongs to series of representative theaters built in the historical styles throughout the cities of Central and Eastern Europe. The Palace of HAZU was completed in 1880. It's only palace, in the real sense of the word, in Zagreb.

In December last year I had a pleasure to visit one of the smallest countries in Europe: Slovenia. Its capital Ljubljana is really nice and compact city. Although Ljubljana is vibrant city it has preserved its small-town friendliness and relaxed atmosphere. Pace of live seems to be much slower then in other European capitals. Unfortunately the city is omitted by many travelers. That's a shame because you can find many interesting sights out there. The most important one is the Ljubljana's castle hill. Ljubljana Castle is a picturesque venue of numerous cultural events including concerts, theatre performances, exhibitions...

Now it is time to publish some of the night shots I've taken in London in June this year.
Updated full set from London is the last update of the year.
In 2009 you can expect lots of new sets from cities like: Budapest, Zagreb, Vienna, Bratislava, Frankfurt, Valencia, Madrid, Barcelona and Ljubljana (early January 2009).
Next year I want to visit at least Lisbon, Bucharest, Sofia and Oslo.

This time I'm taking you to the capital of Germany. I've visited Berlin during the Christmas time, which made the city even more magnificent. In the new set of pictures from Berlin you can find all highlights of the city like: Reichstag, Brandenburger Gate, Alexanderplatz with the Fernsehturm and many others. Everything in Christmas atmosphere.

Today I'm pleased to present a new set of pictures from one of the most amazing cities I've been to.

Moscow - the capital of Russia, the largest city in Europe, in 2007 was named the world's most expensive city for the second year in a row. Moscow’s architecture is world-renowned. Everyone heard about the Red Square, the Kremlin or St. Basil's Cathedral... But in Moscow you can find also lots of small charming Orthodox Churches, which are also worth to see. I've really enjoyed Moscow at night, with its beautiful illuminated sights. Other great experience was a journey via metro, during which I was able to admire this unparalleled example of architecture and design.

The capital of Russia is a definite must-see, but before you go there please check out my pictures from Moscow.

Scotland has always been seen as an idyllic land, where ancient castles nestle amidst majestic mountains; where world-class heritage sites come alive with a rich, turbulent history. On my last visit to Scotland I had a chance to admire the beauty of Highlands, which are popularly described as one of the most scenic regions of Europe. I've also seen some amazing castles like Eilean Donan and Stirling Castle. I've also had a chance to walk in Glen Nevis and realise why this amazingly beautiful and green place has been used as the site of many movies. Although the weather wasn't brilliant I've had a great time out there. I hope you will too, watching the new full set from Scotland!

This year I spent my summer holiday in truly magical country: Tunisia. Besides of laying on absolutely gorgeous beaches of Sousse, I took also some nice trips to the most interesting places in the country.

The walled, historical centre of Tunis - the Medina - is the largest in Tunisia, and contains a maze of narrow streets studded with monuments, mosques and minarets.

In Carthage I've seen the famous ancient Roman ruins. Very interesting indeed.

The El Jem amphitheatre may not be as well preserved as its counterpart in Rome, but because of the incongruous setting its impact is every bit as awesome.

I've also took memorable 2 days trip to Sahara. Riding Jeep's on The Paris-Dakar Rally route was a lot of fun. If you would ever go to Sahara I strongly recommend camel ride, which is really enjoyable.

I hope you will enjoy Tunisia as I did!

After month of launching the new version of my web site, I decided to make some changes. The most important is that now all pictures are available in larger resolution. in the second place I've added new links section on the about me page, where I'm going to publish URLs to other interesting on-line galleries. The new full set is taking you to the capital of Greece: Athens. The city with the most glorious history in the world, a city worshipped by gods and people, a magical city. The enchanting capital of Greece has always been a birthplace for civilization. It is the city where democracy was born and most of the wise men of ancient times.

Athens in general have the most important archaeological monuments such as Acropolis (the hill upon which the Parthenon and other important sites are located), archaeological site of the Ancient Agora, National Archaeological Museum, bustling port of Athens Piraeus, or the old town section of Athens: Plaka.

Today is time for the trip to Czech Republic. In the new gallery I'm taking you to Prague and Karlovy Vary. Both are world-famous cities. Prague is truly magical capital of Czech Republic with lots of bridges, cathedrals, gold-tipped towers and church domes. Prague's compact medieval centre remains a wonderful mixture of cobbled lanes, walled courtyards, cathedrals and countless church spires all in the shadow of her majestic 9th century castle that looks eastward as the sun sets behind her. The other city I've visited during my trip to Czech Republic is Karlovy Vary, a world-famous SPA. All year round the town hosts innumerable cultural and sports events. The uniqueness of Karlovy Vary lies mainly in balneological treatment that exploits mineral springs.
